I shall assume that the book asked about is the one by BM Sharma for JEE Advanced.I have used the series for the topics from Heat and Thermodynamics, Waves, and all the Electromagnetism chapters.
This is a very good series of books.
In my opinion it is far better than DC Pandey's Series of books by Arihant Publications as it's theory is much clearer and complete.
Go through the theory carefully.
Each book has example problems to carry you through the text and, a couple of sets of exercises in between called Concept Application Exercises. These problems are very good and will build your confidence and make you more comfortable with the topics.
Finally there is the final section for practice, which includes both subjective and objective problems. There are A LOT of objective problems of all the usual types.
These objective problems too are quite good.
The solutions to almost all the problems are provided in the book. Do not become dependent on them.
